About

Alfredo Correa is a multidisciplinary creative with roots in acting and painting who moved into advertising as an Art Director and Creative Director. He taught at the International Center of Photography in New York and managed fast-paced fashion studio work, traveling for clients such as Neiman Marcus, Prada, and Givenchy. He later worked across independent film distribution and commercial production with Markefxs and Blackbird Produções, and is now based in Southern California.

  1. Acting studies — Tablado (Stage Theater Acting School)

    Early years • Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

    Began formal training in acting at Tablado, building a strong foundation in performance and stagecraft.

  2. Painting studies and transition to advertising

    Studied painting in several studios and transferred visual arts skills to advertising, working as Art Director and later Creative Director across agencies.

  3. Assistant Professor of Photography — International Center of Photography (ICP)

    New York City

    Taught and supported photography education while deepening craft and technical expertise in studio and location work.

  4. Studio Manager & Assistant to Jean-Claude Maillard — Renaissance Studio

    New York City

    Managed a high-paced fashion studio and traveled extensively for photo shoots for clients including Neiman Marcus, Charles David Shoes, Prada, and Givenchy.

  5. Independent Film Distribution

    Early 2000s • Los Angeles & Global

    Worked in the DVD distribution of independent American films, attending Cannes, Berlin, Hong Kong, Toronto, MIPTV, and other markets; developed deep insight into film distribution.

  6. Business development & production for commercials — Markefxs

    Acquired new clients and contributed across motion graphics and production for commercial projects.

  7. Commercial production — Blackbird Produções

    Joined friends at Blackbird Produções, collaborating end-to-end across commercial production.
